In addition to a brief review of the global and local economic situation with an emphasis on the electronics industry, which is a regular feature of the Polish Electronics Forum, I will focus on the effects of the US trade war with the rest of the world and its impact on the semiconductor industry. I will also talk about ways to determine the country of origin of goods for the purposes of calculating customs rates, especially electronic products. The importance of this topic is enormous during the trade war and prohibitive tariffs imposed especially by the US. Such knowledge will be very useful at the present time and the conclusions from such analysis are often very interesting.
